Decluttering: The Closets

I have 5 closets in my house.

One in the office.

One in my bedroom (the one I use the most)

One in the upstairs (extra clothes that I wear sometimes and seasonal clothes)

One hidden closet

Coat Closet

I would probably tell you, that I don't have a lot of clothes but two closets is more than enough (Plus a dresser).  I have so much. Too much.

I cleaned out the hidden closet that had clothes I had stored because they didn't fit.  But now, I've lost weight so I can get in those clothes now.  I put them in the upstairs closets and one sweater going to my office when it's cold.

I did get quite a few things from the hidden closet into the donation bag.  And went through the extra closet, quite a few things made it to the donation bag, as well.  I turned all the hangers backwards so that if in a year, I haven't worn those clothes they will be donated.

I really admire people who live with less 'things' that everything has a place, and everything in its place.  I have plenty of storage but too much stuff.

I'll be working on a planting/gardening area in the garage.   Getting rid of lots of stuff that doesn't need to be saved.  Books I've picked up for little libraries, going to be distributed.  I've got three of those boxes 🤦

I know a lot of people who are in the same position as me.

You know what else is crazy? I was going to stop at Hobby Lobby to buy more things I don't need.  What a knucklehead!  I didn't!  I have read and also say - that pile of stuff = $$.  I'd rather go on a trip or have an adventure.

Anyone else decluttering?  what is an area you struggle with?
