...the second best things come from the Thrift Store!
I make it known that I love the Thrift Store. The value of an item is only based on what someone will pay for it. Not what some corporate marketing person has decided it is worth.
My two latest favorite finds are my new BRAND new square cake pan (holds 3 cake mixes) and the new BIG round (holds 2 cake mixes) cake pan. CHEAP!
But let me ask you this... would you be offended if someone bought you a gift from the thrift store. I would do this, I wouldn't even try to pass it off as new, I'm proud of the deals I get!
Once I gave my g-friend's son a Little Tikes Workbench and ALL THE TOOLS YOU COULD THINK OF... I got it for $5! Merry Christmas buddy! I get stuff for Babies Dorband stuff from there too... At Christmas, I often buy my daughter previously viewed DVDs (4 for $20 or $3 for $25) because she realizes that it doesn't need to be brand new and she recongnizes that you get more that way :)
But really, would you be offended? Or would you think, a gift, and my friend didn't go broke getting this perfect gift that she knew I'd love?
Let me know. (Because I got my friend a gift from the thrift store and I know she'll love it but I wonder if she'll think I'm a cheapskate). I know she'll love it and I'm giving it to her anyway, but I'm wondering what you think.
Acts 20:35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "
