A lot of people don't understand why I would be supportive that my 4.0 student, super smart, super beautiful, extremely clever and funny daughter wants to go to beauty school. I did, however, ask her very strongly to get her two year degree.
I want her to be happy and I want her to follow her dreams
I really don't know where we are going to come up with $18K to pay for it, but I know God created her beautiful, and she will, in millions of ways, help others to see their beauty. Because God made every single one of us beautiful.
She may not always be able to do hair because of her arthritis, but she may own her own salon, she may do something completely different, but I will never think it's a waste of money for her to follow her heart.
So there you have it.
I don't know where the money will come from... but if it is God's will, He will show up with an open wallet or someone else's wallet, and it will all be taken care of.
Today, remember, no matter what happens to you, no matter if you cry, or smile, God made you beautiful!

We have a daughter who wants to do exactly what you have mentioned. Granted she is only in grade nine...but she is adopted from Africa and school is hard for her. We adopted her at the age of 12 and she did not even know how to read....had never been to school.
She can do African hair amazingly well...and she can be a world changer by helping others. I think it has nothing to do with outward beauty. God created her with a gift and as along as she uses it for His Kingdom...it makes no difference. She can bring joy and smiles and help to lots while having her own salon...while doing hair or make-up.
Scripture says that we make plans but God directs our steps.
Also, I am a person who prays about everything and I mean everything regards of how silly it might seem. God will provide for your daughters education in exactly the way He sees fit...so He gets all the glory.
So to your daughters...."you go girl...follow your heart".{smile}.
Blessings,
Connie
Your post made me think of our SS Trish. She has been such a witness and help to so many with her talent at doing hair. I can't even imagine the number of people she has blessed. I know that God has great plans for Phyllis too!
