As part of my book study that I'm leading we will all share the most beautiful woman we know. Each person will share each week.
What we admire about them, why we think they are beautiful.
Almost daily the person I could talk about changes. Not because I think one person is more beautiful than the next, but that I have surrounded myself with beautiful women. Or maybe God has done that, I'm sure I had nothing to do with it.... I'm not that smart.
Last night talking to a friend about an event "Margie day" that happened a few years back, I started to recognize the beautiful qualities that are in me too! I don't mean that in a conceited way but asking God to show you your worth and being willing to not only hear it, but accept it has been completely eye opening to me.
I am fffaaarrr from perfect or being all that God has created me to be, but I'm seeing myself as beautiful, and not only seeing it but believing it. It weird and crazy but don't worry I still see the flaws that I need to work on so my head will fit through the door :)
Today I was thinking about my Aunt Dee who used to make everyone's favorite foods for gatherings... If Rob was there.... Potato salad, if Kathy then it was noodle salad with no onions.... I'm thankful that she taught me the gift of serving people what they like, it makes them feel special, and wanted. And they are.
I'm learning to see myself as beautiful.
Thank you Jesus for making me beautiful.
