I was just plotting out my vacation plan for 2013. It doesn’t look like I had originally planned. Notice I said like “I had planned”. I thought that I’d be in Africa at the end of the year. That was my plan. 3-4 weeks in Africa. And I still planned on doing the Detroit Mission Trip and going to Haiti. That was MY plan.

I just planned out most of my vacation. Detroit Mission Trip, Haiti, New York, Sister weekend (just carving out the days so if we settle on the days I have it accounted for), and a few days here and there.

Did you see that??? NEW YORK!!!!! WOOT! We are going for our birthdays with Cheryl, my aunt Jan, and Angie! How exciting!! I could just start singing like Alicia Keys! OHMYWORD!!

It’s a funny thing. I didn’t know if I’d get to New York in 2013. But God knew.

I thought I’d be in Africa. Physically I won’t be. But my heart is there because people I love will be there, and I am supporting them with money and in prayer.

I never know God’s plan, and it’s supposed to be that way… I am not the 4th part of the Trinity! (I totally did not make that up, Christine Caine said it in a podcast, but it’s now on my desk so I don’t forget)

I’m so thankful that I can surrender to God who knows way more than me! I’m thankful that His joy is in my heart! I’m so thankful that I don’t have to depend on circumstances but that I can depend on the Rock of Christ who knows my needs and wants and takes care of it all (even if I don’t always agree with it, but I know it’s what is best for me!!)
