It’s kind of funny because my first thought about
my contribution to my friends and family was sarcasm and a tolerance for
profanity. Which both are is totally
true. As I have gotten older, my sarcasm has lessoned mostly because there is a
lot of passive aggressiveness in sarcasm and I have worked to address things
head on, and mostly not right away. As
for a tolerance for profanity, that hasn’t wavered one bit.
As I think about how I have contributed to my
friends and family, I am not sure of the answer because you’d probably have to
ask them. My hope is that I contribute
love and support.
I hope that each one of my friends knows they are
loved and appreciated not for what they do but for who they are. I hope I bring
them support to their dreams with encouragement and, when I can, financially. I
hope they know and feel to their core that they are loved! Every day no matter
what.
I don’t have a friend that I haven’t prayed
for. I pray for so many different
aspects of their lives. Lately my
prayers has been peace and provision.
This is a scary time in all our lives, so much unexpected turns around
every corner. Sometimes provision looks
monetary, and sometimes it’s a provision for grace and mercy. I pray that God provide their dreams, and a
dream come true.
I also hope I bring some humor to their lives. Even though I am someone who gets things
done, I am funny! I am not stand up
comic funny but honestly most of my humor comes from the fact that I don’t hold
back what needs to be said. Though I
have been warned that I shouldn’t be so straight forward.
Love, laughter, and encouragement. And a tolerance for profanity because some
days just any old F word will do…
