"The Break" over the holidays

I always long for this break from the week between Christmas and New Year's (My bday)... so I can rest.

I make a long list of things I'd like to do and also people I want to see.  I've made it a habit on staycations to do something fun and accomplishing something every day.  It feels like the perfect balance AND always a daily nap!

I've packed up the main floor of Christmas decorating.

Cleaned out the garage - I got a pallet for the rafters and moved a gazillion Easter eggs and baskets in the rafters...  It felt so good to get it cleaned out and make room for the patio furniture.

I cleaned out the hidden closet which I didn't think that there was that much stuff in there, but somehow it yielded a construction garbage bag, 1 med box, and 2 milk crates full of stuff - boy did it feel good to clean it out and now my main floor Xmas decorations reside in that closet. I also cleaned a little out of my clothes closet up there.

Lunches ready for tomorrow for the Detroit Community Fridge!

Tonight I will get my Birthday cards for the year done and Margie Mail labels for the year and get January mail ready to gooooooo!

left on my list is to clean out the pantry and wipe everything down from the construction.

Clean out under the stairs

Get the dishes put away from Christmas dinner

and the laundry!

But the one thing I really needed to do was to make my annual mammogram.  I've started HRT and it's really important (more than normal) to make sure I keep that up to date.

I feel like when I get back to work, I am going to be ready to get into the new year!  I'm also looking forward to doing this end of the year audit https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-mel-robbins-podcast/id1646101002?i=1000681150190

I love new years, new beginnings, and being grateful for what I've been through, what I've done, what I've learned!
