Meet the Fuel Leaders

Since we are starting the Fuel Explosion Tour on the 16th… we are picking teams this week. It should be a lot of fun! I am laughing at how competitive the leaders are! I have 3 other leaders on my team, Brynne, Jessica, & Mac. Since I have been wanting to write about each of the leaders on Fridays, but it hasn’t worked out for me, I decided to just do it whenever. There is a lot of awesome things to say about each leader but since I am old, my mind goes blank when I start to write. Today I am going to write about two… Megan and Mac.

I met Megan at the first Fuel event I ever went to. The Fuel Lock In. Megan walked in the room and saw my girls – I brought 3 girls and stayed (but she didn’t see me) and they really weren’t supposed to be in the nail painting room but they were going to leave if we didn’t find an interest for them. So… let’s just say that Megan and I didn’t probably start off on the right foot… I knew the deal, I knew they weren’t supposed to be in there, she didn’t know the story… and it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things anyway.

I think Megan is AMAZING! She has a heart as big as my butt for the kids!! And that’s pretty darn big. She makes me smile every time I see her. She loves the kids, especially the girls, so much and I am so glad I get to serve with her.

I loved reading each of the Fuel Leader’s answers… It’s amazing to hear how God found them, chased after them, and grabbed their hearts.

I guess the thing that makes me wonder about these Fuel Leaders is that they don’t say they don’t think there is anything cool about them. I look at Megan, and you know that she was the pretty one growing up, she is so sweet. She loves so big that even if she was at the most Northwest corner of Metro and you were at the most Southeast corner of the building, you’d feel her love all the way!!

Name: Megan

Your favorite thing about being a Fuel Leader: Hanging with all the cool fuel kids

What’s your favorite song (you need not limit to one): All I Can Say, Madly, Everything (Life house)

Favorite Food:My Grandmas chicken paprikas

Favorite Dessert? Chocolate lasagna (it was from Olive garden but they don't sell it any more :(

Tell me something cool about you, something that you are super proud of: I love frogs. They are so cool. Umm... besides that I am not really super proud of anything I Am a Dog groomer which is pretty cool, but I just live my life trying to serve God which is what i am proud of.
Have you always known Jesus? Have you always loved Jesus? If not, where did He find you? Okay my parents never took me to church when I was younger so I really didn't know anything about God except that there was one. When I was in High school my sister started going to Real Life (the HS youthgroup) and i went with her. We started to get invloved and i start to get connected and jump into God. (but I was more serious about it than my sister) But then my sister stopped going, and without a ride I did too. Then I went though some ruff stuff in my life. My boyfriend who i had attached my self to, left. My friend left because of that. Then some other things happened with mentors and such and I was just left alone. So I went though this period where I was really depressed. I just kinda went though life for awhile. Then I started to hang out with a friend of mine who I had invited to Real Life when I had gone. But unlike me she still continued to go for awhile and eventually rally got connect and found God. So my friend Chantel kept asking me to go back. And for awhile I just didn't want to but eventually I went. I went and loved it again. I started to feel God move in my life. I got connect with a small group and my small group leader helped me find God. That summer I fell in love with God. I realized what He had done for me and how He saved me. Since then I have been running for Him. I have had my times where I have messed up or been sad or just have doubted Him. But He has always shown though with His love. Because of what great works He has done for me I want to show other kids about how awesome He is. Thats why I serve at Fuel and Alive so I can share the great news to other jr high and high schooler.

I loved Mac before I ever met him. I prayed a million times for him (and still counting). I prayed before he went on the Thailand trip, I prayed during the Thailand trip, after the Thailand trip, now I pray for his health and the decisions he will be making for his future. The funny thing about Mac is that you don’t have to pray that he will be successful, because there is something about him, that you just know that he will be, it’s that there are so many places he could be successful, I pray he picks the one best suited for his gifts.

There’s one thing about Mac, he always cheats during the games so the boys can beat the girls. This trait will come in very handy during the Fuel Explosion Tour. I like this about him.

The ladies love Mac. Girls fawn all over him, it’s hilarious!! As his aunt, when they pick on him, I find it necessary to defend him. He doesn’t need any defending, but he lets me anyway.

I love serving with him, and I think he’s amazing all around.

1 Cor 12:11-13 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.
12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[
a] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

I love the Fuel leader posts, they are so cool. I know you see sucess when you look at Mac but I still see Mackie, a crazy wild little boy who reminds me now of my own son. I hope mine grows up to be as great as Mac.

make sure you beat him, beating is mandatory if you want good kids.

Great job on these profiles Margie. I have to say I'm a little disappointed that my grandson didn't name chicken paprikash as his favorite food. I think I will adopt Megan - she names her grandma's paprikash!

Hi Margie,
You are a doll! Thanks for finding those words to "I Know A Place". Now my mind can rest.
Mac comes from a great heritage and I would expect nothing less from him. Tristin does kind of remind me of Mac when he was little...kind of wild and crazy! Funny and both of them will be Mighty Warriors for God!
