A lesson in living

Ok, I think I will stop being a jerk now. Ok, I know. I will. I have kind of been struggling, and quite frankly when I struggle, the rose colored glasses get put to the side and I count my burdens instead of my blessings. I don't know if I just revert to that person that I don't like very much, or what? I am sure most of you don't like her either. It takes all I have not to call Sara and go to Opa. And eat. And eat.

If you think that I don't know that God blesses my face off, I do. I praise Him through it all. I never stop that. I told you, I know He's there because He's holding my hair while I'm barfing or He's carrying me through the sewage I'm walking through. I know I'm here for a reason, I know the path is well defined. I know this and I believe it with all my heart. I am in love with Jesus in good times and bad times. I love Him in ways I just sometimes can't imagine. Good thing there's a lot of Him in me.

Life can be taken from us before we're ready. Life is far too short to live in the sewage of the world. Lord, please help me to see Your works everywhere. Help me to live in Your light, Lord, surround me with it. Lord, push away all the darkness, God, I thank You for all You've given me that I've noticed, and I thank You for all the blessing that are unnoticed. Lord, I love You. Help me to live and love loudly so that all can hear of Your wonders. In Your son's mighty name. Amen.

Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

Romans 12:1-2 1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. (msg)
