Becky Mara

I have to tell you about this friend I have… Becky.

Becky is great. She loves coffee and has quit smoking (I’m SO proud of you Beck!). When you see Becky, you are always greeted with a big smile (I’m usually greeted with a “hi Beautiful” but that’s me – I’m ‘pecial)

Becky is a great friend. Yesterday she called me just to check up on me, to make sure I was ok, it’s been a rough couple of days. She laughs at you when you’re nuts about something and it may seem that she’s laughing at you, but she’s not, she’s laughing with you, she’s just waiting for you to catch up. Lol…

Becky is joyful! JOY-FUL! Even when her daughter is leaving for Uganda, all by herself, Becky knows that following God is the best way and she’s joyful.

She’s trusting too! She knows God has it all unde rcontrol, she may not know the plan, she might not even be too crazy about the plan, but this she knows, her God is a mighty God, and He is bigger, and knows better than us.

There are a lot of things Becky is that I’m not, and vice versa. But one love we share is cooking for those we love. A funny, true story. Our church, which we all refer to as ‘the building’ was under construction from October 2006 to ~March 2007. Every weekend we had groups and groups of people who worked, I don’t have that kind of talent, but I could bring food, it seemed that Becky did the same thing… The funny thing is, not knowing, we always brought food on different days, we kept people fed. We work so well together that we do it without even knowing.

Becky is a great mom, all her kids are different, they even have great but different personalities. And because they are loved, they love too! You can tell a mom by the way she loves her kids, and that looks completely different for each mom. Becky = love!

Becky is a great wife. To be the witness to someone who prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed for God to lay hold of her hubby, and watch it happen, a little at a BAM! He grabbed hold. It was great. What a wonderful example!

Hey Beck! I love you, thanks for being such a good friend, and sister in Christ.

Ecc 4:9-11
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
