Harvest

Psalm 67:6 Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us.

Psalm 85:12 The LORD will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.

I got some news today... I am not sure how it will all work out so I need to be a little private about a few things.

One thing I have to be is practical. Most likely I will not be going to Austria with Phyllis this summer (unless someone writes a check to the music boosters for my trip). I've got to stay home and be... well... practical. It's almost $4000/each. And I am going to be in need of a new furnace/air conditioner (not now but soon) and it seems far more practical to buy a car for that money than a week's vacation. I know I know... the memories, it's a once in a lifetime thing. I was even told that I was putting God in a box, meaning that God can provide. Yes, I know. In my little mind, I get what God can do, He can do exceedingly abundantly more than we ask for or even think. Yes, I know.

BUT! I also know that God does not call us to be wasteful or impractical. He expects us to be wise with our blessings. I know! Yes, I KNOW that we reap what we sow, that we take care of the fields in the spring/summer, and we reap a great harvest in the winter.

I'll tell you this, I love God, I know that He loves me more. I will pray for that check to be written, but I will save. I will put away like I should. It means no eating out (or at least a lot less of it), it means no frivalous spending.

It's time to start preparing for a grand harvest!

Gal 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
