We’ve started some great things in our Alive ministry. Lately we’ve gotten a new teaching to listen to every week. It’s been awesome!! Yesterday I listened to a teaching on prayer (and prayer myths) it was AWESOME!!!
Tonight is our Fall Fuel Rockin’ Lock In. We have two lock in’s a year. I swear it takes me half the year to recooperate. We don’t sleep. It will be over 25 hours for me without sleep. Sometimes I take a quick cat nap, but that’s an hour or less, sometimes I just stick it out.
I love the Lock Ins, I love them because the kids love them. Some of the stuff we do totally grosses me out, but it makes the kids happy! We also have a speaker come and give a teaching about God. Because, with all the fun, that’s the part that matters. I love that we do so many things for Jr. Highers & High Schoolers to see that being a Christian doesn’t mean it’s boring, it just means you love Jesus and you live your life for Him.
My job is the food. We have pizza and pop around midnight, snacks somewhere through the night… tonight its veggies & dip, apples, peanut butter, & caramel, cheese and crackers, and pancakes for breakfast, I try not to completely fill them up on junk. We usually do donuts for breakfast, however, it’s A LOT cheaper doing pancakes (more work but cheaper) and I really think a lot better!
And BTW... the scarf will be there!!
Pray that God moves in the hearts of our students, that tonight is safe and FUN and love is everywhere!!
