Now why didn't I think of that?

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Ben Franklin

Why am I surprised that the best things I do are lead by God? And how preparing always reaps the best harvest...

Yesterday when I met my friend, I let God go before me. And it was just as it should be. And when I pray on my way to work about whatever... they are the best days ever. I know that in order for our Youth Ministries and anything we do to succeed, it must be lead by prayer. It's the ultimate preparation.

I was thinking about that today. About how when I let God lead, it's the best way. I was checking out a website today, Mrs. Darling, I don't read her all that often, but when I do, I'm almost surrounded by God because of her simpleness and her preparation for her family.

Today when I am done here, I will snap green beans and steam them in order to have them this winter. I have sliced zucchini in order to use it in whatever treat it will be in. In the old days they prepared for the winter. They prepared so there was harvest in the winter as well as the summer/fall.

I am one who prepares. I like to think of every detail, check my list (sometimes double check it), I feel that its the best way to live. I know I do my best when I am prepared. If I pack our lunches and prepare everything for breakfast the night before, I get to sleep a few minutes later. I know that if the meat is thawed for dinner preparation, we eat sooner. An ounce of preparation means that I don't gain a pound later because I eat before I'm ravenous. And its way less stress to live a life prepared.

In that same way, when the path is prepared by God, its smoother and more pleasureable than if I try to prepare it or go at it without any preparation... it's the only way to go.

Psalm 85:13 Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps.
