My Nook

I love my Nook (Barnes&Noble’s verson of the Kindle)! I mean, it’s absolutely ridiculous how much I love it! I was thinking about getting a Kindle but someone actually GAVE me the Nook! I love love love it! I wasn’t sure if I would, I really like holding a book in my hand so I thought somehow something might get lost in reading. Let me assure you, you will not miss holding a book! I think everyone should have a digital reader! And if you have a Nook, we can share books!!!

I am currently doing 3 devotionals:
Living Loved – Max Lucado
My Utmost for His Highest – Oswald Chambers
The Dieter’s Prayer Book – Heather Kopp
And I am reading – Rob Bell’s Love Wins
AND
I have a bible that I often reference! (that was in my e-wishlist and it went on sale for $3.99 Reg $19.99)

That is 4 books I’d have to carry. I’d have a sore shoulder, or what would really happen is that I just wouldn’t read.

I just downloaded 31 days to Clean – Having a Martha home the Mary way. I am going to take the challenge! I read about it on incourage and of course since the books was only $4.99 I HAD to have it. My house isn’t filthy, but it does look lived in. I am always looking for ways to improve my life and my relationship with Jesus. A little at a time usually works best for me. Today… cleaning out the pantry and cupboards. I probably have so much in there that I don’t even remember :/ And I love that the book asks us to meditate on the Word. Today’s scripture:
Romans 8:20-2120 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay

Also ready to read:
The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels – Ree Drummond
The Poor will be Glad – Peter Greer

I just need to figure out how to do a few more things on it! I would highly recommend one (either Nook or Kindle)

Ok, I am now convinced! I have been comtemplating the purchase of an e-reader for quite some time, but just couldn't decide which one. I had looked at the Kindle and the Nook. I believe it was Deb who also recommended the Nook. My mind is made up....I am purchasing a Nook! Now, I can't wait to do so! Hummmm, wonder if it would be included in the tax-free purchases this upcoming weekend? I'll have to check that out! Love you my sister and cannot wait to meet you in October!

Many hugs..........

Diane

I have a Kindle and LOVE it too. I felt the same way about holding a book, thought I'd miss that feeling etc., but when I'm now laying in bed reading my lightweight, easy to read kindle, I don't miss that heavy book after all! I even made a cover for it! LOL!
