It is NOT about me...

So… I was sick this morning… apparently I slept with my mouth open and someone poured razor blades down my throat.  Ugh :/  I am feeling better.  MUCH BETTER!!!  But I was totally out of my new routine…  Gym/Bible/Get on with my day!

I found myself ‘snittin’  You know when you start blahblah deetdeet and you just work yourself up in a tizzy… over NOTHING!  I don’t even remember why I was snittin’ and then I remembered… no bible reading today!

My friend Katie has a saying at her house “f your bible is falling apart chances are your life is staying together”.  I LOVE IT!!!  It is SOO true.

So I finally sat down and read today’s assigned reading.  LOL!!!!!!!!  Mark 9:33-37!!!!!!!

I was probably snittin’ about something about me and how what I do doesn’t matter (even though I know it does!)…  And often when I have these moments…  When I feel like the person who just makes sure the water is there, doesn’t necessarily plant seeds, or water them, or even see them bloom, I make sure the water is there! That person is important!  When I have those moments, I pull out this piece of paper, it was an email from Adam (and he probably has no idea that I still have that email or that it meant that much to me) that said ‘thanks for doing what you do’ but it was longer than that…  when I feel like I don’t matter, I pull out that email to remind me that what I do matters and keep striving for the prize!  The prize of God getting ALL the glory!

In the pic, this is actually my pic…  is my bible (the funny part is that it is pink - I don't like pink! and it's my favorite bible!), it’s very worn, and written in, doodled in, the pages are starting to fall out, there are pictures, and drawings, notes…  stuff that matters to me, and also in the pic, is that note, and one of my favorite scriptures, I bought it and LOVED it, but I had to find a place for it (and finally! I did)

Mark 9:33-37
33 They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?”34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.
35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
36 He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, 37 “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”
