My crazy life... that I love!

I have decided that I will go to NYC in the next 6 months or so, it seems like a frivolous spend… but I have wanted to go for a long time, so I am going to do it!  When I get back from El Salvador I will start looking at dates.  I’m thankful that I have two friends who LOVE LOVE LOVE NYC so I can pick their brains about lots of stuff. I will probably only go for a weekend.
I am taking a day in a couple of weeks and getting away for a night.  I have a lot of stuff coming up, I am going to stay at a super duper fancy hotel (I just booked it this morning!!!), I’m going to walk around the city where I am staying, this part is kind of funny, I’ll either eat at some very small local joint or at a fancy resturaunt (because I’m fancy!)  I’m going to bring my bible wherever I go (not the app, my ACTUAL pink – my favoritest bible).  And I’ll probably snuggle in kind of early, and sleep well (I’m probably one of the only people I know that sleeps amazingly well in a hotel)
It sounds completely selfish but I’m doing something for me, to recharge, to get ready for an exciting school year!  Alive is starting, and I am super glad!  I’m super excited about what is going to be done for Jesus this year.
Yesterday I held a high school student in my arms, I actually didn’t know her, I just loved her.  And for a moment I was transported back to Haiti. I have said over and over (AND OVER) again that part of why I miss Haiti so much is because when I was there I felt like I was beautiful and doing exactly what God created me to do.  I feel like that when I snuggle L, J, & Z or A & L.  I know that God has given me incredible gifts of task oriented completion. Not everyone is blessed to have that gift, and while some may think it’s not fun or a gift, I do believe that it is.  There is no outreach to students at Cedar Point if no one books the rooms, organizes the snacks, or buys the tickets. It’s just as important as the worship but no one sees it (and I’m completely ok with that) but this year, along with tasks, my heart and my arms will be wide open.  Don’t get me wrong… I’ll still be using my gifts but I’ll love more!

Life is going to be busy and so great!

Courage Coffee has had really delicious coffee from El Salvador -- I've thought about and prayed for your trip when enjoying (or serving) a cup.

Be blessed!
