Healthy

Apparently when I’m quiet for a couple days, I feel the need to talk (write) a lot…

Today I ate my peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then ran out for lunch for a quick run to the bank and I decided to check out a park that is near my new job. It’s a beautiful park, and it was a beautiful day. I had hoped there was a blanket in my car, and you know… you never know just what you might find but alas, no blanket. I settled for a sweatshirt and laid down and did my bible study on Hope.

enjoying the day w/bubbles
I even had some bubbles in my car and decided to blow them. I thought to myself, with days like today, it makes me WANT to bring my lunch and come to the park and enjoy the day. We don’t get too many perfect days in Michigan, but I think we still get plenty. I think I’ve found the perfect place to spend my lunch, and it will help me to enjoy bringing my lunch.

I was able to find out something fabulous! I went to Meijer today to check prices on some items, I was SUPER surprised to find organic peanut butter for $3.99 instead of $6.99 for 18oz. I was happy to find cage free organic eggs for $3.69/doz instead of Kroger’s $4.69/doz

These things all make me happy as I embark on eating organic… again, mostly because I’m sick when I don’t. I just feel better when I eat things that are good for me… my next challenge is finding organic plants… Tomatoes, spinach, leaf lettuce, zucchini, green peppers, jalapenos, and onions. Oh brother, what have I gotten myself into… where’s Mrs. Mac when you need her?

my study for today
So it’s my night “off”… which normally would mean that I would clean the house up, sit around and watch tv, and basically do… nothing… but today I cleaned up some things around the house, warmed up some leftovers, got some quinoa breakfast muffins made, went for a walk in the neighborhood, and that walk was glorious. There were times that it was hard to walk because the memories of years past were so great that they were painful, but those painful memories have turned sweet. I love where I was, and where I am and do not regret a memory made, they are what makes us. soon I will be doing some work… and thankful that I enjoyed this day that God gave me.

Getting healthy… mind, spirit, body.

1 Thes 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
