The Heat - movie review

I love movies. I love buying them, I love going but rarely do I actually feel like I should do a movie review. But today I have a movie review and Holy Spirit moving to tell you about.

You can see the trailer here:

I went to see the movie "the heat" starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. And let me tell you, I laughed but I had a really hard time with something.

All that swearing.

It threw my spirit for quite a loop. I was... Well... Edgie. After leaving that movie. Think of me just on horrible edge. I wanted to fight.

I'll tell you something, I can't tell you enough how thankful I am that I was headed to church. I went before The Lord and just got real and honest and sorrowful.

I'm not a prude, I don't consider myself really "good". I thought it was funny when someone thought I was a "myth" yesterday because they had heard such great things about me and quite frankly most days I feel like the chief of sinners. Maybe you don't see it, but I do, and God does. Grace.

It made me sooooo sad and angry with myself that up until a year ago, I could completely be identified with the character 'Mullins'. Not because of her mad detective skills but because of her potty mouth.

Maybe you don't know this about me, but I often sounded just.like.her. Ugh :/ I hate that!!!

I don't really swear now. Once in awhile if my heart is jacked up, one might slip out, but normally, I don't even think those words. Praise God!!!

The movie was hilarious!!! But I won't  watch it again. For me... It's a sin issue.  I'm not saying its like that for everyone, but it is for me.

What a lesson this was!  Thank God for the painfulness of being apart from Him, that sucked and I couldn't wait to get back into his Love and Grace.

Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. (Luke 6:44, 45 NIV)
