A beautiful event

Yesterday i provided food (appetizers and desserts) for a really amazing event that celebrates black history.

As it always is, bringing food is a greater blessing to me than it is to the ones i serve.

So many people where loved and honored with food last night. Can i just say fresh fruit that tastes delicious in the middle of winter is a huge win?!

There was this one woman, she was stunningly beautiful. She said “i wish i ate meat those meatballs smell delicious”

Well imagine her face when i told her we had veggie ones :) she was excited.

I talked to her later in the evening telling her how thankful i was for her happiness. She said she barely ate in the last 24 hours because she was traveling -3 cities in 10 days. And she said she was so thankful to finally eat something good.  She also loved the sauce the meatballs came in. She wanted the recipe but wasn’t sure if she could make it.... The very difficult equal parts grape jelly and chili sauce recipe. ðŸ˜‚❤️

The truth is a lot of people ate last night and it was such a blessing to feed them. But that one woman.

She was the “one” in my heart of Feed One. Not everyone is starving that we will feed. Sometimes someone needs a little “home” to come to. Gramma Hutko’s meatballs that while cooking i prayed over.

It’s such a gift that God has given to me to cook for others. It’s love and joy and so much more to cook for others ❤️

To love them.
