Lessons from my car

If you ever saw my car before the pandemic you know it was always a little... full. You honestly never know what you might find.  It's hilarious and embarrassing!

The pandemic certainly has taken it to an all new level.

I've always had the mentality that when someone has something to give away i give a quick yes or no ? to God. If i don't hear a no, i accept it. I've gotten some really crazy things sometimes... one time it was 7 food boxes that i wasn't expecting to get, before the day was over... it was all gone! I've got 20 pounds of meat. Heck I've gotten a whole deer!Who the heck knows what's gonna come next!

Last night my car was filled. There wasn't much room for much more but somehow i squeezed two boxes of school supplies in it! Just to give you some sort of picture of what it looked like... (and none of perfectly organized) 60 pairs of socks, 4 jumbo boxes of diapers, a food box (that I've been carrying since before thanksgiving), 30ish toys, two boxes of school supplies, a bag of dried pasta, half a case of water... and who even knows how many pairs of a shoes πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Most of it is all gone, toys, diapers, school supplies, the bag of pasta, the food box... it all found homes (it's got one more stop πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚) oh and a bag of wipes to send to some friends overseas who are in the armed forces!

It's crazy to me that someone who needed a lot of her life is now the one that God chooses to provide needs through. It's amazing to me! Truly amazing! I'm so thankful!

Last night my friend Beckie and i prepared backpacks for some of our friends at a place we serve. The backpacks were provided by a church, we just had to do some re-distribution of some of the items.  Seriously what a great night. The weariness and stress of the week dissipated and it was replaced by joy and thanksgiving! We got delicious carry out, talked about so much, so much of what God is doing! So much healing!

This may not seem like the coolest thing to do but I'll tell you, it's the greatest to be a deliverer of God's provision! I'm never gonna be a really cool person, I'm always going to probably be more serious than funny (but i assure you, i am funny!), i hope and pray that i will always give more than i take. I pray i see the good in others, and i love them every day no matter what, and i will never be sorry i loved. I am thankful to be who God created me to be, and it's taken me years to accept it.
